Most Effective Email Marketing Strategies For 2018
The first rule for having an excellent full-circle marketing campaign is you need to have lots of compelling content to use. However, all of that content will not serve a useful purpose unless you have a strategy to go along with it for generating leads and increasing the visibility of your business. You must constantly be asking yourself, what is the most effective way of doing this?

Of course, the answer is effective email marketing strategies! The following was found to be true in a recent study from ExactTarget:
93% of consumers online have given companies permission to send information to them via email and 75% of consumers say they prefer receiving permission-based promotions via email.
I have taken effective email marketing strategies and categorized them into five general kinds of emails. Your goal with email marketing is always to get specific campaigns developed around the service areas or products that your business provides. Your next important step is developing segmented lists in order to separate relevant information and content for specific groups of people. Keep in mind that there are two things that effective emails should achieve: 1): direct people to your website and 2:) guide them into taking whatever action you want them to take.
1. Educational Emails:
This type of email is my personal favorite since these are the kind of emails that solve a problem or answer question for your prospective customers. Providing information means you are offering a service to them. Educational emails should be sent whenever you have any brand new, compelling content or some new research that you want to promote. This kind of email can frequently be created through repurposing your popular blog articles or through combining a recent blog article series from any type of education-based content that can fit together well into a specific email campaign.
2. Informational Emails:
These are short emails that don’t normally ask the reader to take much action. Sometimes, in fact, the subject line of the email may communicate all of the necessary information. Information emails include things like webinar invites, meeting reminders or offers to check a specific post out on a social media platform or your website.
3. Promotional Emails:
Although there are some people who will avoid this kind of email, implementing it is still quite important. just be sure your promoting is done in a tactful and professional way. There is one main goal that promotional emails have which is to move the reader to take a specific action 0 usually regarding a special deal, event, service or new product. In terms of effective email strategies, usually, these kinds of emails don’t have much content that is associated with them. Instead, they focus on persuasion and selling points.
4. Newsletter Emails:
Companies usually send these out once a month and they frequently include several content pieces that have been published already over the past month. Newsletter content may include videos, blog articles and other kinds of content. A Comprehensive Guide to Internet Marketing, which is our free e-book, outlines some of these types of content.
5. Lead Nurturing Emails:
All marketers realize that it can take lots of effort and time to get a lead moved through your entire sales cycle. One part of this cycle is lead nurturing emails and they are key to helping to expedite this process. After your workflow has been set up it won’t take a lot of time to send these kinds of emails out. In fact, you should automate the entire process. They should be content rich short emails.
